| Recap for the weekend: awesome!
My sweetie and I both had Friday off, so we decided to meet up on Thursday after work. She at at my house and then we went to Brentwood. It turned out that Alinda's eldest sister was visiting from Utah. The last time i saw those kids was one summer ago. So, it's been a while, back when me and my sweeties relationship was still fairly new. hehehe. That was pretty exciting for me. Anyways, back to the story at hand.... I went to Brentwood and hung out and waited for Alinda's Utah sister to arrive. She arrived pretty late at night around midnight. Friday, me, Alinda and her mom went to oakland to do some major shopping. I assume we got a lot accomplished because my trunk was pretty much filled by the time we got back to brentwood. So busy and so hot at Brentwood. I think this was probably the first weekend we didn't watch a movie at the theaters while i was up there. The rest of the day after okalnad was basically used for preparing for Saturday's birthday party for my sweetie. Saturyda, the real fun began. Major preparation for the birhtday BBQ. Setting up the party in the backyard was a GREAT idea, but it was so hot, i twas sweating just taping simple decorations to the table. hahaha. By 1p, peaple start showing up. Santa Cruz heads, Oakland heads, uncles, aunties, cousins, neices and nephews... they were all in the same house... or backyard, should i say? anyways, lots of good food, and good company. Towards the night, we went to go bowling. Bowled till 1a before everyone had completely left brentwood. Sunday. That was a sad day. A long and fun-filled weekend at brentwood and finally it was my time to depart. I left around 12p and got home in time to go to my grandma's house. I haven't been there in quite some time. It was good to visit again. After grandma's house, I went to hang out with my cousins, scott and kelly. We went bowling and played some pool before we went home. Unfortunately, my wrist and middle finger was sore from bowling the night before, so i didn't do so well. Or was it because i was just using the 8 lbs. ball to try to smash everything down? hahahah... anyways, i basically didn't do too much damage in the bowling alley. Finally, on Monday, July 4th. I didn't do too much for this momentous holiday. Just played some basketball with nate and mike. Talked a little bit about the upcoming vegas trip that we have planned and ate lunch with nate while mike went to work. After the lunch, i just went back home to relax. For dinner, I went to my cousin's house for some sushi. mmmm... it was good. heheh... but yeah, it was a pretty chill day. Great way to spend the day since i'll be goin back to work tomorrow. oh wel, hope everyone had an awesome 4th of july weekend. cause i know i did. |
